Wells appointed to the California examiners’ board

California governor Gray Davis has appointed Sheila Wells, DC to the California State Board of Chiropractic Examiners.

The Board of Chiropractic Examiners' primary responsibility is to assure the consumers of California that providers of chiropractic services are adequately trained and meet recognized standards of performance for treatment and practice. The seven-member Board, composed of five licensed chiropractors and two public members, are all appointed by the governor. Each member is appointed to a four-year term and may be re-appointed to a second term.

Wells' private practice (Wellsville) is in Oakland, Calif. Prior to her career in chiropractic, Wells served as an investment banker analyst for Grigsby and Branford and as an assistant controller for Lillick and Charles Law firm, both headquartered in San Francisco. From 1995 to 1999, she owned an insurance company in Oakland.

Wells is a 1995 graduate of Life Chiropractic College West.
