Spinal Conference to be Held in June

The American Chiropractic Association, International Chiropractors Association and Rehab Council are co-sponsoring the International Spinal Trauma Conference June 20–22 in Chicago at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. The event offers 22 CEU hours, which have been applied for in all 50 states through the Palmer Institute for Professional Advancement.

The conference will feature 14 industry experts, who will speak on a variety of subjects, including:

• “How can anyone be hurt with so little vehicle damage?” (Dr. Michael Freeman, DC, PhD, trauma epidemiologist at the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Medicine Department of Public Health and Preventtive Medicine);

•“Whiplash biomechanics” (Dr. Arthur Croft, DC, director of Spine Research Institute of San Diego);

• “Understanding and effectively responding to an insurer’s cost containment practices” (Richard Adler, personal injury attorney);

• Science-based crash interventions (Brian O’Neill, president of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety).
