NBCE Issues Correction on Veteran
Benefits Reimbursement

In a previous issue of NewsFlash, we reported that the candidates who are eligible for veterans’ benefits may receive full reimbursement of their National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) examination fees.

That article stated that veterans may qualify for this program if their National Board Parts I, II, III and IV, as well as the optional Physiotherapy and Special Purposes examinations were taken on or before March 1, 2001. Since that publication date, the NBCE issued a revised statement that the examinations must have been taken AFTER March 1, 2001.

Before applying, veterans must first establish their eligibility by contacting the VA at www.gibill.va.gov or 888-442-4551. Once eligibility has been established, candidates should contact the NBCE Processing Department at processing@NBCE.org or write to NBCE Processing, 901 54th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634, to request a receipt for examination fees paid. After required documentation is submitted to the VA, the refund will then be processed according to Veterans Administration procedures.
