The October 2002 issue of the scientific and technical journal, the American Journal of Public Health (AJPH), which was devoted to complementary and alternative medicine topics, featured two articles by chiropractic researchers and co-authors.

Prior to this issue, the AJPH had only run one paper with chiropractic co-authors. This issue featured three papers about chiropractic, two of which were co-authored by doctors of chiropractic:

“Comparing the Satisfaction of Low Back Pain Patients Randomized to Receive Medical or Chiropractic Care: Results from the UCLA Low-Back Pain Study,” R.P. Hertzman-Miller, H. Morgenstern, E.L. Hurwitz, F. Yu, A.H. Adams, P. Harber, & G.F. Kominski; and “A Randomized Trial of Chiropractic Manipulation and Mobilization for Patients with NeckPain: Clinical Outcomes from the UCLA Neck-Pain Study,” E.L. Hurwitz, H. Morgenstern, P. Harber, G.F. Kominski, F. Yu, & A.H. Adams.

The articles are available at the AJPH web site, www.ajph.org.
