CoQ10 subject of clinical trial
The International Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics published a clinical trial of the supplement CoQ10 recently. The trial consisted of a random, single-dose study of four forms of CoQ10, including a soft-gelatin capsule, a powder-filled hard-shell gelatin capsule, an effervescent tablet and a fast-melting tablet. The subjects were 24 healthy males ranging in age from 18-45.
The study found that fast-melting tablets, such as the CoQMelt product produced by Douglas Laboratories, were the most effective form, as it gets into the blood steam and can begin working quicker than the other forms. CoQ10 benefits the cardiovascular, circulatory and energy production systems.
