New chiro college to open in fall

A new chiropractic college will open its doors in September. The New York State Department of Education approved D’Youville College’s proposal to offer a program leading to a doctorate in chiropractic, according to a report in Buffalo Business First.

The approval means that D’Youville will offer the state’s second chiropractic program, joining New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls. It will be the 17th training ground for chiropractors in the country.

The first class of freshmen for the seven-year, bachelor’s-to-doctorate degree program is expected to be enrolled in September. Beginning in January, a second program will offer a four-year degree that leads to a doctorate for transfer students and career-changers.
