Trigon case to be heard in February

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit has agreed to accept the request from the American Chiropractic Association to hear oral arguments in the Trigon case. According to the ACA, the hearing will be in Richmond, Va., between February 24 and Feb. 27, 2004.

Attorneys for Trigon and ACA and the Virginia Chiropractic Association will present their positions before a three-judge panel and answer questions from the judges. The panel membership will be disclosed 24 hours in advance of the hearing for attorneys to have the opportunity to research decisions by each of the judges and sharpen their presentations.

According to the ACA, a decision from the appellate court may be rendered in the case 60 to 90 days after these oral arguments are presented.
