Chiropractors involved in public health convention
Chiropractors joined professionals from oral healthcare, podiatric and vision care to form a “mega booth” at the recent American Public health Association (APHA) meeting in San Francisco. Visitors to the booth received a pedometer if they visited all four booths and completed a risk assessment for osteoporosis.
According to John Pammer, Jr., DC, DACBR and publicity chairperson for the chiropractic healthcare section of APHA, public health is an excellent medium for practitioners, and an especially good way for new practitioners to get started in practice. “The only cost is time,” he said.
The APHA annual meeting drew about 13,000 members and provided good visibility for chiropractors who participated.
