Slabaugh appointed to National Committee
Dallas, Texas –Mr. Darrell Slabaugh, vice president of Development and Institutional Advancement at Parker College of Chiropractic was named to the National Legal Action Committee. The appointment comes from Dr. Garrett Cuneo of the American Chiropractic Association. The committee is comprised of chiropractic leaders supporting the legal effort against Trigon Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Virginia and the National Blue Cross/Blue Shield Association and the HCFA.
The outcome of these lawsuits are critical to the role chiropractic will play in the future of healthcare. Slabaugh is pleased to share in this effort and said “We must defend the principles that this College and our profession were founded on. These lawsuits are an important step in assuring that chiropractors have a level playing field in providing services to patients.”
One of the goals of the committee is to continue to raise money to pay for the legal expenses. To date the amount of expenses incurred is well over $4 million. Slabaugh is a Certified Fundraising Executive and brings over 12 years of experience in fundraising for the chiropractic field and wants to be a part of the team that helps shape the future of chiropractic.
