ACF/ACA Auxiliary Scholarship Awards Announced
Arlington, VA – The Board of Directors of the American Chiropractic Foundation (ACF) of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) recently recognized the recipients of the 2002 ACF/ACAuxiliary Scholarship Awards.
The Scholarship Awards provide financial support to current SACA students with a demonstrated need enrolled in accredited chiropractic colleges. The ACF Scholarship Committee recommended 12 students to receive this year’s awards, based on the students’ outstanding academic achievement and involvement in the Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA).
Each student will receive a scholarship to be used toward tuition or other direct college expenses. The 12 recipients of the 2002 ACF/ACAuxiliary Scholarship Awards are:

The ACF/ACAuxiliary Scholarship Committee is composed of Dr. Roger E. Combs, committee chairperson and ACA Governor, District I; Dr. Howard Fidler, State Delegate, Minnesota; Dr. Michael Perusich, former SACA leader; Dr. J. Michael Flynn, ACA Governor, District V, former Chairman of the Board, and SACA Board Liaison; and Ms. Mary Broeg, Parliamentarian, ACAuxiliary.
“The students are the future of chiropractic and it is important to recognize their academic excellence in this profession,” said ACF President Dr. James D. Edwards.
The ACF and ACAuxiliary will team up to present a new group of scholarships that will be awarded in September of 2003. The application deadline, criteria and other pertinent information will be sent to the colleges and SACA chapters in early spring.
The American Chiropractic Foundation was formed by the American Chiropractic Association to support scholarly research in the chiropractic profession, to assist in the advancement of chiropractic education and to sponsor seminars on the advancement of the science of chiropractic.
