TV Program Highlights Sherman College,
Chiropractic Profession
Spartanburg, S.C. - Many television viewers throughout the Carolinas and northern Georgia took advantage of the opportunity to learn more about Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic and about the benefits of regular chiropractic care by watching the South Carolina Educational Television program "Horizons" that aired recently in the region.
Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Laura Chadwick Weeks, clinical sciences instructor Dr. Robert Irwin, and thirteenth-quarter student Jennifer Eames represented the college on the 30-minute program.
"I think it"s safe to say that chiropractic"s acceptance by wide-ranging health-care disciplines worldwide has never been greater," said Mack Amick, the show"s host. "So it seemed only natural to highlight a unique college for South Carolina and one of the few colleges in the United States that offers instruction and education in straight chiropractic."
'Horizons'is a weekly public affairs program designed to educate and inform viewers about a particular topic. For the show focusing on Sherman College, Weeks, Irwin, and Eames fielded questions about chiropractic care, the definition of straight chiropractic, the history of the college, the curriculum, and the college's requirements for admission.
