Dr. Bob Hoffman Named ICA 2002 Chiropractor of the Year
Long Island, N.Y. - The International Chiropractic Association has named Dr. Bob Hoffman the ICA 2002 Chiropractor of the Year in recognition of his outstanding efforts in internationally promoting the health benefits of chiropractic care. The award was announced at the ICA Board of Directors and Representative Assembly annual meeting in Arlington, Va., on May 19.
Hoffman is president of The Masters Circle and was the 2000 2001 ICA president. He's spent more than 20 years in service to the organization and to the profession at large. Hoffman was told of the award while teaching a Masters Circle seminar in San Francisco, and he reacted in a humble fashion, quickly turning the conversation away from himself and back to his long-standing mantra: "There has never been a better time to be a chiropractor!"
He also spoke of the honor of being president of an organization that he refers to as the "philosophical conscience of chiropractic." Hoffman said his focus is to put the "I" back into the ICA by continuing to build a global presence so that more people can gain from the health benefits of chiropractic.
Hoffman said it remains his desire to increase communications with other chiropractic organizations, as the springboard to a cohesive and harmonious co-existence with an ultimate goal of becoming a more unified profession, moving forward under a subluxation-based umbrella.
Hoffman has retired from the political arena and now serves as president of The Masters Circle, nationally recognized personal and practice development company for chiropractors headquartered in Lake Success, Long Island, N.Y.
