Life Names New Dean, Board of Regent’s Member

Scott Donaldson, D.C. has been named dean of the Health Center at Life Chiropractic College West. In his new position directing the health center, Dr. Donaldson will be responsible for managing the facility’s faculty doctors and administrative managers. In addition, he will oversee all the health center’s activities.

As the college’s top clinical administrator, Dr. Donaldson replaces Dr. Colleen Hewes, who held the position for more than four years and has taken a teaching position with the University of Texas at Arlington. Dr. Hewes also served as a Life West professor and department chair from 1992 to 1998.

Dr. Donaldson has worked continuously at Life West since 1993, as a professor, chair of the department of technique and analysis and associate dean of the Health Center. He has taught palpation, diversified technique, spinal anatomy X-ray positioning, public health 2 and office procedures. For the past few months, he also served as interim dean of the health center.

Janet Willis, MBA was seated as the newest member of Life’s Board of Regents. Since 1998, Willis has served as the senior director of operations, human resources at MCI Systemhouse Inc. in Alpharetta, GA. She is an operations director with experience in human resources, recruiting, finance, and delivery. She’s been working in the high tech industry since the mid 1980’s. Her executive experience also includes working at APAC Teleservices Inc., Alpharetta, GA; Vanstar Technology Services Inc., Roswell, GA; and Data General Corp., Atlanta, GA.
