Chiropractors have a heart

Chiropractors in Oklahoma – and elsewhere – can prove that their hearts go out for kids by participating in Oklahaven’s Have-A-Heart event, a major fund-raising event for the 40-year-old clinic whose goal is to help sick and disabled children back to health through chiropractic care. The event is scheduled for the week of February 10-15, 2003.

Oklahaven president and CEO, Dr. Bobby Doscher, explained that during the event the clinic asks chiropractors, their clients and people around the world “to open their hearts to help the sick and damaged children who come to the center.” Participants are asked to show Oklahven’s 40th anniversary video in their waiting rooms and ask patients and colleagues to sponsor a “heart” for the children.

Participating in the event not only raises money for the center, but it also raises awareness of pediatric chiropractic. Participants that raise the most donations will be given special awards for their efforts.

Last year’s event raised one-quarter of the center’s operational income.
