Citizen’s Arrest! KC Chiropractor Keeps an
Eye on ‘Handicapped’ Spots

Kansas City, Mo. - Treating chiropractic patients is John Willits’ specialty, but the Kansas City chiropractor is also known for his work in parking lots, TV station KMBC 9 reported.

With a slow and careful eye, Willits looks at every “handicapped” parking spot in the lots he voluntarily patrols. He even wears a badge.

“I wrote two tickets out here this morning,” Willits said recently. He said he is committed to ticketing drivers who misuse handicapped parking spots. “I feel like I am doing something for the community,” he explained.

For the last year, Willits has worked every week, checking for tags and writing out tickets, on top of having a career as a chiropractor. Willits said he isn’t just doing this to write tickets. He said in a way, he is looking out for his patients who need these spots.
