Karl Parker Honors Legendary Father

BURLESON, TEXAS - 2001 marks the 50th year since Dr. Jim Parker began teaching seminars to chiropractors worldwide. It is also the 25th year since Dr. Karl Parker has been working to continue his father's chiropractic vision.

In December 1951, Dr. Jim Parker held his first seminar in Orlando, Fla. This year, Dr. Karl Parker -- the heir to his father's legacy - and the entire Parker family, are recognizing and celebrating the great achievements of their father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Dr. Karl's father's family consists of six DCs and one soon-to-be-graduate from Texas Chiropractic College.

Dr. Karl Parker graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in 1969 and practiced until May 1976, when he left practice to join his father to present seminars around the world. The Parker family is calling this event their "Golden-Silver" celebration in honor of Dr. Jim Parker's 50 years, and Dr. Karl Parker's 25 years, of service to chiropractic.

Dr. Karl Parker and the rest of the Parker family are carrying on the heritage and legacy of Dr. Jim Parker through the Karl Parker Seminars being presented six times a year around the country. The Karl Parker Seminars are the official seminars of the Parker family and are not associated with the PSPS or Parker Seminars presented by the Parker College. The Karl Parker Seminars will be celebrating their "Golden-Silver" event throughout the last half of 2001.

The "New Beginning" phase of the six-month, four-seminar celebration will begin in July in Las Vegas. The second phase, called "The Tribulation," will be held in Dallas in September .The third phase is planned in New Jersey and is called "The Achievement." The final, "Celebration" phase will be back in Las Vegas in January.

"Even though this event recognizes my 25 years of effort," Dr. Karl Parker said, "I am most pleased to have this opportunity to pay homage to my father's vision that changed the very nature and face of our profession and has had such a great impact on my life and thousands of others."
