Foot Levelers Kicks Off
50th Anniversary Celebration
ROANOKE, VA. - Foot Levelers, Inc. is nearing its 50th year of providing top-quality products, services and educational opportunities to the chiropractic profession. To continue in the tradition of providing major fundraising events for the profession, Foot Levelers will be offering a series of special Anniversary Seminars for chiropractors. These seminars will be major celebrations where you will have the opportunity to renew their licenses while also having fun and exchanging ideas with colleagues.
These events will feature some of the professions most popular and sought-after speakers, making presentations in different locations all across the country. The Anniversary Seminars will provide you with the opportunity to earn 18 hours of license renewal credit over a three-day period.
With as many as 10 speakers making presentations and concurrent classes offered, you will be able to choose which topics/speakers you would like to hear.
Speakers scheduled to make presentations at this special event include:
* William M. Austin, DC, CCSP, CCRD - a dynamic speaker and prolific writer, with extensive experience in the fields of biomechanics, postural analysis, and rehabilitation. A cum laude graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic, Austin serves on the postgraduate faculties of Northwestern College of Chiropractic and Cleveland Chiropractic College. He has developed successful practices in Connecticut and Arizona and is currently director of Professional Education at Foot Levelers, Inc.
* Mark Charrette, DC - a 1980 summa cum laude graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, and a former NCAA All-American swimmer, Charrette has taught hundreds of seminars on chiropractic adjustive procedures and biomechanics. A dynamic speaker, he expects the people attending his classes to be prepared for a great deal of hands-on adjustment work.
* William D. Esteb - with 20 years of experience as a chiropractic patient and advocate, Esteb is creating the next generation of patient communication materials through his new company, Patient Media, Inc.
* Patrick Gentempo, DC - co-founder and CEO of the Chiropractic Leadership Alliance, Gentempo is an internationally renowned lecturer, researcher and chiropractic business consultant. He is unmatched in his ability to integrate the philosophy, science, clinical practice and business of chiropractic without contradiction. Over the past 17 years, Gentempo has mesmerized chiropractors with his message vision of world leadership of healthcare in a chiropractic model.
* John Hyland, DC, DACBR, DABCO, CSCS - after 12 years in full-time and private practice in Arvada, CO, Dr. Hyland is now the Clinical Director for two chiropractic rehabilitation centers in Denver. A popular lecturer, he is also a frequently published author. He has served as an expert consultant to the Colorado Workers Compensation Board, a national health disability insurance company, the Colorado Board of Examiners, as well as for numerous attorneys. In 1991, Hyland was named the "Colorado Chiropractor of the Year."
* Kirk Lee, DC, CCSP - a 1980 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and a member of the Palmer College of Chiropractic Post Graduate Faculty, Dr. Lee has lectured nationwide on sports injuries. Presently, he is the President of the Michigan Chiropractic Society. Lee currently practices in Albion, Mich.
* Jeffrey Olsen, DC - a 1996 Presidential Scholar and summa cum laude graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Olsen has been in private practice with his two partners/brothers since 1997, in Roanoke, Va. In addition to his practice, Olsen has instructed as an adjunct faculty member at the College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, teaching Anatomy and Physiology in the Physician Assistant department. In 2000, Olsen achieved "Advanced Proficiency, Activator Methods."
* Steve Troyanovich, DC - a 1987 cum laude graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, Troyanovich has authored or co-authored over 35 scientific journal articles regarding chiropractic evaluation and treatment methods. Troyanovich is a member of the Central Illinois Neuroscience Foundation (CINF), a multi-disciplinary non-profit foundation dedicated to the advancement of neurological health sciences through education and research. He serves on the research committee of the CINF and maintains a full-time private practice in Normal, Ill.
* Wayne Zemelka, DC - presently operating the Zemelka Family Chiropractic Clinic in Bettendorf, Iowa, Zemelka writes for several national magazines and journals, and recently finished production on a new Thompson Technique video, which can be seen in the Palmer Library. He is certified in Videofluoroscopy and is presently working on a video series of instructional tapes for the chiropractic profession.
In addition to the classes taught by these top instructors, there will be an Expo where doctors can be the first to see some of the newest products from leading chiropractic supply companies.
"We're extremely proud to have been part of this great profession for half a century," said Foot Levelers president Kent Greenawalt. "These special Anniversary Seminars are our way of thanking the doctors for letting be a part of their practices. We have gotten together some of the most dynamic speakers in the profession together for these special events to teach doctors important information that they can use in their practices right away. We are committed to this profession and pledge to continue our support over the next 50 years."
To kick off Foot Levelers 50th Anniversary Celebration, the first set of Anniversary Seminars will be held this fall, with more seminars scheduled throughout 2002. The Fall 2001 seminars will be held in Los Angeles, Calif., on Oct. 19-21; Kansas City, Mo., on Nov. 9-11, and Philadelphia, Pa., on Nov. 30-Dec. 1. The cost for the Fall 2001 seminars is $99 for doctors and $49 for CAs and students (five days prior to seminar -- $129 for doctors and $79 for CAs and students).
All of the proceeds from the Fall 2001 Anniversary Seminars will go to the chiropractic college of each attendees choice. The co-sponsoring colleges for these seminars are New York Chiropractic College are Cleveland Chiropractic College.
Foot Levelers has been dedicated to chiropractic since Dr. Monte Greenawalt founded the company in 1952. Since then, Foot Levelers' commitment to helping advance the profession has only gotten stronger. The company has demonstrated its support by contributing a great amount of time, energy, and resources to furthering chiropractic education and research, helping various chiropractic organizations, designing referral campaigns to educate the public about chiropractic, and developing innovations to help chiropractic patients.
