Vibration exercise therapy - A bevy of benefits

One of the most valuable aspects of vibration exercise therapy for chiropractors is that it offers such a wealth of benefits to a wide range of patients. Whether a patient is recovering from injury or a medical condition, looking to engage in an easy exercise routine for better fitness, or an athlete looking to increase their performance, vibration exercise platforms can help them achieve their goals.

Moreover, because of their safe and gentle nature, vibration platforms can be used by nearly any type of patient—the young, the elderly, the disabled, the obese, and the physically fit—with great success for each group. With such a diverse range of benefits, adding vibration exercise technology to your practice is a great way to increase your patient volume and ultimately your income.

To learn more about vibration exercise therapy's value, the following list details a handful of the technology's biggest benefits:

1. Rehabilitation: For patients who are injured or suffering from disease, many physical fitness activities can be painful or even dangerous. But without some form of exercise, these patients face a much slower recovery. The contractions involved with vibration exercise, however, occur within the muscles and are involuntary, which requires limited patient effort and generates less stress on the joints and ligaments than traditional exercise. Because of this, vibration platforms are a valuable way to safely rehabilitate patients recovering from injury or disease and get them on the road to recovery.

2. Efficiency: Because physical exercise typically requires lots of exertion and time to be beneficial, even fit patients often neglect to engage in regular fitness routines. However, vibration exercise requires much less time and exertion than
traditional workouts, which helps patients overcome their resistance to regular physical activity. Vibration exercise produces significant results when used as little as 15 minutes a day, three days a week. In fact, vibration platforms have been shown to produce the same results in 15 minutes that would take one hour to achieve with traditional exercise.

3. Health and Fitness: The muscle contractions produced by vibration exercise work to gently massage muscles, increase circulation and enhance bone health. Through these actions, the platforms have been shown to increase a patient's strength, endurance and flexibility. In addition to these general health benefits, studies have shown that regular use of vibration exercise therapy can benefit those with back pain, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, and Multiple Sclerosis.

4. Flexibility: The leading vibration exercise platforms can be adjusted to control the frequency of vibration, and they also come with preset programs. This means that DCs can help a wide range of patients reach their fitness goals. Those with physical limitations can take advantage of the lower frequencies to safely get a minimum of physical activity, while more athletic patients can use higher settings to achieve a more intense workout. All patients can take further advantage of the variable settings by slowly and steadily increasing their workouts until they reach optimal levels of exertion.
