Diagnostic imaging group and Palmer announce partnership
Davenport- March 11, 2009 - Radiology Group Imaging Center, LLC, Davenport, Iowa is partnering with Palmer College of Chiropractic, Iowa campus, to provide chiropractic imaging interpretations for chiropractic physician referrers of Radiology Group Imaging Center.
All diagnostic MRI imaging conducted at the Imaging Center will result in a medical interpretation and report generated by one of the center’s 13 diagnostic radiologists. Now, in addition to the medical report, doctors of chiropractic may request a chiropractic imaging report performed by Ian McLean, DC, DACBR, director of clinical radiology and professor at Palmer College. He has served as a full-time faculty member since 1983.
“This partnership can represent the best of both worlds for patients shared between medical physicians and doctors
of chiropractic. This is a convenient, valued benefit for our chiropractic doctors and we are very pleased that Radiology Group Imaging Center and Dr. McLean will be able to provide such an accessible service for our chiropractic physicians,” said Robert Danielson, MD, president of Radiology Group.
Kurt Wood, DC, executive dean for clinic affairs for Palmer College, added, “This partnership represents a great stride toward Palmer’s objective to advance integrative health care in the Quad Cities. This collaborative effort demonstrates a bridge between the medical and chiropractic imaging disciplines and will be a great service for all area healthcare practitioners. We are delighted that two well-established community institutions will now be able to advance the larger ideal of cooperation and integration.
