10 nutrition facts
1. Back to the basics. Nutrients provide proper nourishment. Keep your diet simple; choose whole fruits and vegetables instead of processed ones to gain full nourishment.
2. Get smart and follow your intuition. When you grab an afternoon snack, which do you think has more nutrients? An orange or a cookie? It's that simple.
3. Record what you eat. When you are conscious of what you eat, you'll realize whether there is a nutrition deficiency in your diet and you can tackle it early on.
4. Nutrition in Water. Really? According to health experts, water is a catalyst for enzymatic reactions involved in nutrient digestion, absorption, transport and metabolism.
5. An apple a day could really keep the doctor away. Apples do offer many necessary nutrients such as calcium, iron, potassium and Vitamins A and C.
6. Read the labels. Be sure to look at the "nutrition facts" on the back labels of the food packages. Not all
foods offer a "good source" of vitamins.
7. Yes! Chocolate really does have nutritional benefits. The cocoa in dark chocolate contains nutrients called flavanols, which have been associated with decreasing risks of cardiovascular disease and improving women's skin.
8. Learn about nutritional supplements. Nutritional supplements have been a practical way for many people to properly measure the right amount of vitamins they should be consuming each and every day.
9. Share your knowledge about nutrition. As you begin to implement better eating and more nutritional intake, get your friends and family involved, too. A healthy family equals a happy family.
10. Consult with an expert. Contact your local nutritionist to find out what nutritional needs are important to your body. If you choose to use nutritional supplements, contact your local Symmetry Business Partner to find out what supplements could work for you.
