ACA recognizes outstanding students, SACA chapters
October 3, 2008 — The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) recently presented “Student Excellence Awards” to top Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA) chapters and leaders from around the country — all who were recognized for their activities and accomplishments in the 2007-2008 academic year. ACA presented the awards Sept. 20 during the association’s annual House of Delegates meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio.
“The SACA program is an important link between the profession and chiropractic higher education, and we congratulate the winners of this year’s student excellence awards” said ACA President Glenn Manceaux, DC. “ACA is committed to supporting and enhancing chiropractic education, and will continue to take an active role in developing the future leaders of our profession. With these students rising through the ranks, I am confident that our profession is in good hands.”
Julie Potter, PhD, of Northwestern Health Sciences University received the
Excellence in Leadership Award recipients include: Peter Hicks, New York Chiropractic College; Jason Godbout, University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic; and Courtney Centrelli, New York Chiropractic College.
Outstanding Service Award winners include: Holly Furlong, National University of Health Sciences; Betsy Robinson, Texas Chiropractic College; Jessica Taylor, Cleveland Chiropractic College-Kansas City; Adana Moses, Cleveland Chiropractic College-Los Angeles; Rachelle Mulford, Palmer College of Chiropractic West; Stanton Hom, Southern California University of Health Sciences.
SACA Chapters of the Year were the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic, and Southern California University of Health Sciences, while Cleveland Chiropractic College-Los Angeles received the Most Improved Chapter award.
