Dr. Miller shares final day at CCCKC

August 5, 2008 — The college community at Cleveland Chiropractic College-Kansas City (CCCKC) took time out of its day July 25 to bid farewell to a friend and colleague, Jeffrey Miller, DC, who has accepted a position with Foot Levelers Inc. Miller, who was chair of clinical sciences and director of the Overland Park Health Center, will now do more writing and publishing, as well as traveling the country to speak about chiropractic.

“At age 19, I told my future (and present) wife I was going to be a chiropractor,” Miller said. “I then told her that I would also speak and write about the profession. My ultimate goal was to someday make a living speaking and writing about chiropractic full time.

Miller came to the college in May 2007, joining a strong team of clinical faculty already in place. In addition to two successful site team visits by the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE), Miller also oversaw the opening of the new health center after the move to the new campus in Overland Park. This was done while maintaining the Brookside Health Center and providing increased services to interdisciplinary programs at Truman Medical Center-Lakewood, the Kansas City Free Health Clinic, and the Veterans Administration Services Center.

The administration is in the process of selecting an interim chair. A search committee has been convened to find a permanent replacement for Miller.
