February 14, 2012 — Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) was honored to have hosted Dr. Howard Wasdin, best-selling co-author of his memoir SEAL Team Six and practicing chiropractor from Georgia, as a special guest speaker Feb. 8, 2012.

TCC students, faculty, board of regents and business and education leaders of the community filled the Russell Auditorium to hear Wasdin’s presentation on the importance of “Winning as a Team” and the principals of chiropractic healthcare. His passion and enthusiasm on both subjects inspired TCC’s students to continue pursuing their goals in becoming the next generation of doctors of chiropractic and being active players in the healthcare professions.

“It was an honor for us to have welcomed Wasdin to Texas Chiropractic College, and I thank him for spending his time with us,” said Dr. Richard G. Brassard, president of TCC. “This was a great experience for our students to hear firsthand the challenges and rewards they may face after graduating, and learning from a

seasoned professional in both life and chiropractic.”

Superstar status has not changed Wasdin’s approach to advocating for chiropractic healthcare reform. He actively participates in supporting legislation and encouraged TCC’s students to stay involved and up-to-date with current legislative issues that may affect their future as practicing chiropractors.

A VIP reception was hosted in the Harris building immediately following the presentation to thank the sponsors who made this event possible.

TCC would like to thank the following businesses for their generous support and sponsorship of this event: Moody Gardens Galveston Island; Moody National Bank; DRDA; Hampton Tax Group Inc.; Chick-fil-a; GSM Insurors; Gamma Construction; Jason’s Deli; Maintenance of Houston; Apollo Signs; Dorian; Flowers & Co.; Gorman Uniform; Landesign Group; Marriott Houston Hobby Airport; Sam’s Club; Essential Sport & Wellness Chiropractic; and McMorris Chiropractic LLC.
