DC, CA of the Year awards presented at Parker Seminars Las Vegas

February 1, 2012 — Parker Seminars awarded its prestigious Chiropractor and Chiropractic Assistant of the Year Awards during Parker Seminars Las Vegas.

Doctors of chiropractic honored with the DC of the Year Award included Brad Glowaki, DC, from Champion Chiropractic in Seal Beach, Calif.; Don MacDonald, DC, from Dr. Don MacDonald Professional Corporation in Edmonton Alberta, Canada; Carol Ann Malizia, DC, from Chiropractic Health Center in Newburgh, N.Y.; January Mierzejewski, DC, from Core Concepts Chiropractic in Sarina, Queensland, Australia; and Betsy Taylor, DC, from Crossroads Natural Health in Grand Prairie, Texas.Dr. Rick Wren, Derrell Pratt-Blackburn, Dr. Brad Glowaki, Dr. Carol Ann Malizia, Dr. Don MacDonald, Dr. January Mierzejewski, Delia von Schilling, and Dr. Gilles Lamarche

The DCs were honored for their excellent contributions to the advancement of the chiropractic profession and for having a tremendous impact on chiropractic wellness worldwide. The chiropractors were also recognized for benefitting the lives of their patients by providing

tremendous health care.

Parker Seminars also presented the Chiropractic Assistant of the Year Award to Greta Garber from Chiropractic Works in Pittsfield, Mass. and Delia von Schilling who works with Ernie von Schilling, DC, in Courtenay, British Colombia, Canada. They were both recognized for their contributions and dedication to the chiropractic profession.

In addition, Parker Seminars presented a new award — the Student of the Year Award to Derrell Pratt-Blackburn. A Parker University student, Pratt-Blackburn was also the first student to ever present on the main stage at Parker Seminars. He presented his winning 2011 Talk the TIC competition presentation, which awarded him first place in the contest. Talk the TIC is a chiropractic health talk competition between chiropractic students effectively delivering a chiropractic message to others.
