Chiropractic leaders, philanthropists recognized at Parker Seminars Las Vegas

Erchonia Medical presented with Philanthropy Award during Parker Seminars Las VegasJanuary 30, 2012 — Parker Seminars awarded some of the most influential leaders in the profession during 2012 Parker Seminars Las Vegas.

Erchonia Medical, a leader in low level laser healthcare applications, was honored with the coveted Philanthropy Award. Erchonia was honored with the award for their generosity in giving freely of their services, time, effort, support, and funds for the benefit of the chiropractic profession.

The Parker Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Dr. Terry Yochum for enhancing the profession with his substantial contributions. Yochum, director of Rocky Mountain Chiropractic Radiological Center in Denver, and adjunct professor of radiology at Southern California University of Health Sciences, is well-known for his work in radiology. The first edition of his text, “Essentials of Skeletal Radiology,” is a benchmark publication for the profession. The text book has sold more than 100,000 copies since 1987 and is the required text in radiology at chiropractic institutions worldwide.

“Dr. Terry Yochum has been a dedicated contributor to chiropractic for five decades,” said Dr. Gilles Lamarche, vice president of Parker Seminars, clinics, research, and continuing education of Parker University. “He has worked tirelessly for chiropractic especially in the field of radiology, where he is the recognized master.”

Each year, Performance Health representing Biofreeze, Thera Band, and Prossage honors an individual whose affinity for helping humanity has made a difference in the world and on the profession. This year, the Biofreeze Humanitarian of the Year Award was presented to Retired U.S. Army Brigadier General Rebecca Halstead.
