CCC interns participate in health fair

Student interns from the Cleveland Chiropractic College (CCC) Wellness Center at Truman Medical Center (TMC) Lakewood performed spinal screenings June 5 at Burlington Northern Railroad’s Diversity Health Fair. The event was sponsored by the Community Health Education program at TMC, located in Lee’s Summit, Mo.

Nine interns participated: Tim Baylard, Marc Bobrow, April Green, Bethany Herrington, Kyle Jenson, Eric Liebl, Robert Miller, Branden Rech, and Herb Waring.

“Our screening and information area was well staffed, organized and attractive to potential patients,”

Rech said. “Each employee that stopped by for a screening contributed to us building confidence in preparation for our future practices and attracting new patients.”

Pam Ballard, the CCC’s office manager at TMC, coordinated the college’s participation at the health fair, while Matt Kounkel, DC, a clinician and 2002 Cleveland graduate, assisted.
