Dr. Steven J. Kraus— Future Health founder & CEO— to speak at Iowa license renewal seminar
DES MOINES, Iowa — Dr. Steven J. Kraus, acknowledged EHR (electronic health records) expert and founder and CEO of Future Health software, will speak at the Iowa License Renewal Seminar for doctors of chiropractic at the Prairie Meadows Event Center in Altoona, Iowa, Oct. 15 and 16.
Kraus will share Iowa Code changes and state practice rules with attending DCs. Some rules impact EHR and Meaningful Use requirements.
"The world of health care is changing with EHR technology," said Kraus.
"Correspondingly, the practice acts and rules surrounding HIPAA, electronic claims, documentation,
records requests and how to share protected patient health information is rapidly evolving with federal and state rules in the practice acts of most states. It's more important than ever for DCs to be aware of these rules affecting how they practice according to the standards of their state and federal rules."
The seminar is hosted by Joseph S. Ferezy, DC, and is titled, "Practical Issues in Chiropractic Practice." DCs can attend for $299 and receive continuing education credits. For more information about the Iowa License Renewal Seminar or to register, visit http://www.chiroclasses.com.
