Erchonia's Zerona laser expands in India

For the first time in India, a new ground-breaking non-invasive procedure has been introduced that will shed those extra inches without surgery, dieting, exercise or pain. This is expected to bring relief to over 30 million Indians who are suffering from obesity and other related disorders. Currently, the weight loss techniques available in India either entail a dieting or exercise regimens or surgeries that carry a certain amount of risk.

"The results of this technology are remarkable. In clinical use, doctors are reporting an average loss of between 5 to 9 inches, with some extraordinary cases of more than 15 inches lost. With the help of this technology, patients can now think of reducing stubborn fat from the tummy, back, hips, arms, cheek etc and it does not require an extensive time commitment from the patients either. It is the 1st device of its kind to receive the United States FDA Approval in the Inch Loss category," says Dr. Deepak Chaturvedi, Medical Director, AMAYA Clinic, who has introduced this technology in India.

The technology is essentially a laser scanner that emulsifies adipose tissues that gets released into interstitial space. The excess fat is then passed through the body during its normal course of detoxification. In India, the technology has been introduced by the leading global brand ZERONA. "This is a new body sculpting procedure designed to remove fat and contour the body without invasive surgery. Unlike other procedures, it allows the patient to continue their daily activities without

interruptions from surgery, pain, wounds, or garments," informs Dr. Chaturvedi.

The ZERONA procedure was proven through a double-blind, randomized, multi-site, and placebo-controlled study in which patients, on average, lost 3.64 inches from their waist, hips, and thighs. This result is dramatic compared to the placebo group, which only lost an average of half an inch. Designed to deliver results without the dangers associated with invasive body contouring surgery, ZERONA painlessly reduces fat in the tissue under the skin. It allows the body to safely eliminate fat while reducing inches from target areas, slimming, and reshaping body lines while tightening and toning loose skin. Preliminary studies have shown that it lowers the serum triglycerides and also balances the appetite hormones so as to control the weight in the long run.

"Obesity is a serious health problem in India. One of the main reasons being, a drastic change in the lifestyle and eating habits of the upper and middle income groups. It also poses a major risk for serious diet-related chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and stroke, and certain forms of cancer. This new procedure will help such patients to deal with weight issues effectively and systematically. USA based Erchonia Inc, the patent company will also be introducing a similar LASER technology for acne treatment, scar removal and fungus treatment in the Indian subcontinent", concludes Dr. Chaturvedi who also runs an Anti-Aging Research Centre in Mumbai.
