A natural choice
Homeopathic remedies are starting to make bigger waves in the medical industry than ever before

You may know that homeopathy is a low-cost, nontoxic system of medicine with roots in ancient civilizations. But, did you know this therapy is used by millions of people worldwide, is a postgraduate medical specialty in England, and the royal family has their own homeopathic doctor?
During an 1849 cholera epidemic in Cincinnati, those treated with “conventional” medicine had a 40 percent to 70 percent mortality rate, while those treated with homeopathic substances lost the fight only 3 percent of the time.
That was before political forces in the medical industry forced this effective, inexpensive therapy out of use in favor of much more expensive, invasive, and profitable services.
Meanwhile, homeopathy has maintained its credibility and is prescribed by a great number of physicians throughout Europe. As an increasing number of people look to more effective health options, this therapy is again gaining steam in the United States.
Homeopathy in the U.S.
So what is it about homeopathy that makes it so appealing for use by American doctors?
In addition to its effectiveness, homeopathy is a system of medicine based on treating the individual with highly diluted substances, triggering the body’s natural system of healing.
Annual sales of homeopathic medicines in the U.S. have now reached $150 million. This is a testament to a growing appreciation for treatments, which synergistically empower the body as opposed to overloading it with hormones, synthetic substances, and overly concentrated formulas.
Not only can the side effects of these be dangerous and invasive, but many have also been found to cause imbalances, depleting beneficial vitamins, minerals, and bacteria levels.
Thus, it is not only extremely safe and inexpensive, but instead of using procedures and products that create change in the body, homeopathy empowers the body to make the necessary changes within.
Due to its versatility, these remedies can be created for virtually any use. Homeopathic substances are thought to be particularly effective in treating chronic illnesses that fail to respond to conventional treatment, and are a superb method of self-care for minor conditions such as the common cold and flu.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has cited it as a system of medicine that should be integrated worldwide with conventional medicine in order to provide adequate global healthcare.
Homeopathic substances are affording doctors the opportunity to provide a better, more comprehensive and affordable service to their patients, while in turn increasing their own profitability.
Human chorionic gonadatrophin
According to Dr. A.T.W. Simeons, the hormone human chorionic gonadatrophin (hCG), along with a specific diet, has the ability to mobilize stored fat for metabolism by the
The vital pathways are often clogged by toxins known as “endocrine disrupting chemicals,” such as monosodium glutamate (MSG), bisphenol-A (BPA), and phthalates.
Known by many as the body’s control tower, a healthy hypothalamus gland is in communication with every cell in the body and is known to be pivotal to healthy metabolism and fat storage.
Diana Sabella, DC, uses homeopathy — primarily weight loss products — in her Minnesota clinic daily. In this case, homeopathy has given her the opportunity to help patients with arguably the most devastating epidemic facing the country today — obesity.
The product Sabella uses is formulated to enable patients to lose ½ to 1 pound of stored excess fat per day during a 21 to 45 day detoxification protocol.
Sabella says the formula she uses allows her to give her patients a “convenient” and “affordable” option.
This increased effectiveness that Sabella experiences is largely due to a homeopathic formula’s capacity for multiple elements. Modern science has provided evidence that a great number of body parts are pivotal to proper metabolic function, thus the opportunity to support many, or all, of these in a single formula is unique.
“Now I have the ability to offer a service that the American public is in dire need of,” says Sabella. “I find that when my patients lose 10 to 30 pounds or more, the reduced pressure on their joints makes my life as a chiropractor much easier.”
Do your homework
Recent surveys found 82 percent of patients also reported improvements to their overall health as a direct result, including less pain, lower blood pressure and cholesterol, more energy, blood sugar stabilization, better sleep, and clearer thinking.
That is not to say all homeopathic substances are created equal. There lies a great disparity among homeopathic remedies resulting from a variety of elements, including the quality of the original substance, creation process, storage practices, and delivery methods.
Be sure to learn what constitutes a high-quality formula and demand the best from your supplier.
Despite topping the list, weight loss is just one area where homeopathic remedies are gaining popularity for use. Other uses include Candida; immune system enhancement; addiction recovery; digestive support; insomnia; and balancing emotional disturbances such as anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and irritability.
Only time will tell how far this therapy will take us, how great its impact will be, and how many lives it will change. What we do know is that the evidence is mounting and people are responding.
“At the end of the day, it comes down to what’s best for my patients,” says Sabella. “The added income is just a perk that makes offering it a no-brainer.”
