REHAB ROUNDUP
A look at the latest rehab products
By Wendy Bautista

The American Heritage Dictionary defines “to rehabilitate” as “to restore to good health or useful life, as through therapy and education.” The road to recovery can sometimes be a bumpy one, but providing your patients with appropriate rehab products can speed their recovery.

This rehab products roundup is intended to show some options that may be of service to you and your patients.

Chiropractic Economics invited companies that offer rehabilitation products to submit information on their latest products. Please keep in mind that all information is provided by the manufacturers and that Chiropractic Economics does not test nor endorse any product.

Dry hydrotherapy
AquaMed’s TouchScreen allows clinicians, as well as patients, to individualize the dry hydrotherapy session by adjusting session length, intensity, speed, treatment area, and temperature. All options are accessible through the touch-screen monitor that patients can use while lying down. During each dry hydrotherapy massage session, it also allows patients to watch educational videos or listen to information about chiropractic or more specifically, the services offered within the practice.

The DRX9000’s computerized technology targets a specific lumbar disc, enlarges the disc space, and reduces herniation. It also strengthens outer ligaments and reverses high intradiscal pressure by applying negative pressure to the site of pain.

Once this position is found, the systems stabilize the patient allowing specific neuromuscular training based on body movement isolation that aims to achieve and sustain an immediate pain reduction, increase in range of motion, and improved function. The ATM2 can also be doubled as a functional treatment table.
