Does your state accept online CEs?

Which states accept online credits? Although the number of states that accept online credits remains the same in 2006 as it was last year, the popularity of distance learning is increasing.

Additionally, a few states have expanded their allowance of online education. Minnesota chiropractors can now obtain all 20 hours of CE online; Texas DCs may meet all 16 required hours by taking six hours online and 10 hours by teleseminars (live seminars by telephone conference call); and New York chiropractors may meet all 36 required hours by taking 12 hours online and 24 hours by teleseminars.

As of publication, 38 states, plus the District of Columbia, accept at least some online credits. New Jersey is the sole state that does not require continuing education for relicensure.

Below you’ll find a directory of states, with information on how to contact the state regulatory boards, as well as the status of online credit acceptance. For the most up-to-date information on states that accept online credits, go to www.ChiroEcoCE.com.
