Practice your patient-education skills

Don’t be surprised if a hiring chiropractor asks you to explain, in lay terms, subluxation.

Patient education is an important part of practicing chiropractic and being able to communicate what a subluxation is and its impact on the patient’s health is important to patient retention.

The average person doesn’t understand a subluxation or know where lumbar vertebrae are located. Taking the time to explain in lay terms keeps patients informed and also gives them a sense of security in you.

So, before you go into your interview, practice explaining chiropractic and subluxation in words anyone can understand.
