Parker Seminars shines in Las Vegas!
Celebrities inspire and teach record crowds

LAS VEGAS, NEV. — A record number of chiropractors and their assistants and families combined fun with an educational opportunity at the Las Vegas Parker Seminars event, Jan. 15-17. More than 9,000 people came from as far away as Japan and Australia to take in more than 100 seminars that featured top speakers, best-selling authors and an Expo of more than 200 vendors.

“The energy and momentum were amazing — to see the profession celebrating,” said Fabrizio Mancini, president of Parker College of Chiropractic and Parker Seminars.“We have a preliminary count of over 9,000 — more than last year. And we had to turn down over 300 exhibitors that wanted to be with us.”

Attendees gained the insights of notable speakers, including best-selling authors John Gray, Paul Zane Pilzer, Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen, as well as Joseph Mercola, Dr. John Demartini, Bill Frank, Doug Caporrino and Robin Crow.

Marilu Henner of the television sitcom show Taxi charged up the audience with a motivational talk on nutrition and motivational speaker Robin Crow both entertained and inspired the audience by playing musical renditions on his guitar.

Big-name motivational speakers aside, an Elvis impersonator and look-alikes for Shania Twain and Diana Ross kept the crowd’s spirits revved. At the culmination of opening ceremonies on Thursday, Dana Carvey brought the crowd to a laughing frenzy. Singer Mariah Carey was a surprise guest star and participants enjoyed the banter of comedian Jerry Lewis, who was an honored guest and recipient of a special award.

As good as the entertainment was, the primary goal of the conference was education. That goal was achieved as registrants attended seminars on a variety of topics, including techniques, practice management, professional growth and science supporting chiropractic. New additions this year were tracts for CAs and in personal development.

With an event so big, can it become any bigger and better? Yes, said Mancini. “We want to continue to grow and to communicate more effectively the importance of training properly,” he said. “The next step is inviting patients. We plan to invite patients to come and listen to best-selling authors. In the ‘future-future,’ once we get a big enough space, we will invite other healthcare providers, such as holistic medical doctors and physical therapists. I want chiropractic to lead wellness through action, not only through words.”
