Terry Yochum, DC: Benchmark educator and chiropractor

In July 2004, the third edition of a textbook that is required reading for all chiropractic students worldwide and for students in more than 100 medical colleges was published. The book is The Essentials of Skeletal Radiology (third edition, 2004; Lippincott Williams & Wilkins). One of the authors of that book is Terry Yochum, DC, who co-wrote the text with Lindsay J. Rowe, DC, MD, DAC, DACBR.

This classic textbook has raised the profile of the chiropractic profession to a high degree.

Yochum is a second-generation chiropractor and cum laude graduate of National College of Chiropractic, where he subsequently completed his radiology specialty. He is also a diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology and has served as its vice-president and president for seven years (1983-1990).

More than 25,000 copies of his textbook have been sold to date and the second edition received high reviews in the American Journal of Roentgenology, Radiology and the New England Journal of Medicine.
