— Chiropractic education saw many new leaders
in this decade, as several new college presidents
were appointed by their respective boards of trustees.
Among these were Shelby Elliott, DC, of Texas Chiropractic
College; George Goodman, DC, of Logan College of Chiropractic;
Peter Martin, DO, ND, DC, of Palmer College of Chiropractic
West; Jean Moss, DC, MBA, of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic
College; Kenneth Padgett, DC,of New York Chiropractic
College; Reed B. Phillips, DC, PhD, DACBR, of Los
Angeles College of Chiropractic (now renamed the Southern
California University of Health sciences); and Virgil
Strang, DC, of Palmer College of Chiropractic.
