1975 — The National Association of Broadcasters agrees to set aside a two-hour period of prime-time television for programs suitable for viewing by the whole family. In other news:

_ The IRS and SEC investigate U.S. corporations for illegal political contributions to candidates both domestic and foreign.

_ The film [ITAL]One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest[/ITAL] is the first movie since 1934 to win all four of the top Oscars: Best Picture, Best Actor (Jack Nicholson), Best Actress (Louise Fletcher) and Best Director (Milos Forman).
