1926 — The Universal Chiropractors Association,
formed by D.D. and B. J. Palmer in 1906, changes its
name to the International Chiropractors Association
(ICA).
Other events:
- Radio Corporation of America (RCA) organizes
the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC) as the first
nationwide entertainment radio broadcasting network.
Columbia Broadcasting Network (CBS) is set up in
1927.
- Lincoln Chiropractic College, Indianapolis, opens
(Sept.).
- The Supreme Court upholds the President’s
exclusive power to dismiss executive officials,
thus voiding the Tenure of Office Act of 1867.
- A.A. Milne publishes Winnie-the-Pooh,
one of the most popular children’s books ever
written.
- Child adoption is made legal in Britain.
