1902 — B. J. Palmer is indicted for practicing
medicine without a license, on April 16.
Four months after graduating from his father’s
school, B. J. Palmer was charged with “publicly
professing to cure and heal without having procured
and filed a certificate with the board of medical
examiners.” Scott County (Iowa) Courthouse records
indicate no final disposition of the case.
